B.A.R.C. is a 501c(3) association of radio operators and those interested in the radio art. Our club is located in the Southeast corner of the state of Missouri, an area known as "the Bootheel" as it resembles the heel of a boot.
We meet monthly on the second Saturday of each month. Club membership is open to all persons interested in amateur radio. We are an ARRL-affiliated club.
The club has a 2-Meter FM repeater available for use on 146.385/146.985 MHz using a CTCSS tone of 100.0 Hz.
Photo is from a 2013 club "Special Event Station" set-up at the "Stars & Stripes" Museum in Bloomfield, MO. The "Stars & Stripes" was a newspaper printed for the U.S. military beginning during the civil war in 1861 and lasting 159 years.
We have a dedicated team of Volunteer Examiners who are available to give Amateur Radio exams through the ARRL VEC. Tests are often given at regular monthly BARC club meetings, however, please check for availability if you are interested in testing.
